MCR for Pavilions
‘Don’t call us emo’ emo stars My Chemical Romance are heading to Plymouth Pavilions on Tuesday, March 20.
The tight-trousered rockers have been described as many things in their career, from ‘emo’, ‘indie’, ‘pop punk’ and ‘post-hardcore’ to ‘a bit shit actually’.
However, the band is very big with Ver Kids and their forthcoming album, The Black Parade, is expected to launch them on a massive scale.
In fact, the first single from the album landed in the UK Top 40 at No.23 - though that’s not really saying much when the newie from David Hunklehoff goes in at No.3, is it?
Either way, tickets go on sale at 9am on Friday, October 13. Unlucky for some, indeed. Book yours online at www.plymouthpavilions.com.

Waste line
We all know that you, as citizens of the People’s Republic, are committed to cutting waste at home but are you lapsing into bad habits as soon as you hit work?
A survey conducted by Envirowise of the region’s office drones found that a quarter took no action whatsoever to reduce the amount of resources they use during the working day.
It all seems to be a symptom of our pressurised workplaces, where there’s little or no encouragement for people to take action on waste.
Survey respondents agreed that clearer environmental policies from their bosses and greater access to eco-friendly options, such as recycling bins, would help them do more.
Which is why Envirowise has produced a lovely information pack to help employers buck their proverbial ideas up.
The dedictated web page offers loads of free, straightforward advice for backward-thinking bosses.
And if that fails, why not find a new vocation in our Ethical Jobs section and wave goodbye to your eco-unfriendly employer forever! Hooray!
