Dramarama-lama-ding-dong
Are there any 11-15 year olds in the People’s Republic who want to get involved in drama? Course there are – and now they bally-well can.
Roots In Drama, starting on Wednesday, November 1 at the Barbican Theatre, Plymouth, is about exploring different drama styles and techniques, looking at the link between dance and drama through movement and observing professional performances, discussing and debating what you see. Oh, and pretending you’re a tree.
The project includes five workshops which take place on every Wednesday in November from 5-7pm and a Go & See performance of Sakoba Dance Theatre, one of the country’s leading African dance combos (but then, you knew that already, dincha?), on Friday, December 1 at 7.30pm.
Roots In Drama is for 11-15 year olds of all abilities. There are a maximum of 20 places so book now to avoid tears before bedtime. To find out more, call .
