Kook-rockers Fatlab played Melting Pot last night, and we’re pleased to confirm the proceedings were largely free of insufferable wackiness.
The combo alternated between pleasant 12-string strumble-pop, in an early REM stylee, and scary-voiced japery about one-eyed teddy bears or some such. Yet, while we were admittedly sceptical about what the night would hold, it turned out to be just what the doctor ordered.
Plus, the Fatlab guys (and gal!) ’gave good interview’, as we say here at PRSD towers, and were rather smashing ‘in real life’ too. It was like a 60s love-in but with chin-stroking lefties instead of big strap-on cocks.
Yet again, the lovely Niki did a bang-up job of hosting the shebang, while mad professor Tim beavered in the corner, weaving his genius production magic. It’s the quiet ones you have to watch, you know?! The PRSD sends a big shout out to both of yous.
Of course, you’ll be able to have a listen to the show by tonight (all things ‘being equal’) by hitting our ‘downloads’ section, but there’s also a chance you’ll be able to WATCH the gig as well! Yes! We said WATCH! On your computer box! Lordy!!
